8 am Tour - Cathedral Canyon

Are you prepared to find one of the hidden gems of the Glen Canyon area.  Looking for something less crowded and more memorable?  Then your ready for Cathedral Canyon. The morning canyon tour allows you to beat the Heat of the Midday runs.

The rugged beauty of the grand majestic Cathedral Canyon has to be seen to be believed! Your guide will point out various facts about the animal life in the area and the native plants once used by their ancestors long ago and what the local Navajo people still use today. You will also appreciate the fantastic rock formations that this canyon tour offers (Cathedral Hall, Four Sisters, Thumb Rock, Pucket Rock, and of course the astonishing slot canyons of this region). This adventure provides a personal touch to explore the beauty of the Navajo land.

***You will have to get down and crawl under some boulders, and we have a very narrow section of the canyon that we squeeze through to get to the 10 foot ladder that we climb up to get into the canyon.

Water and Restrooms will be available between Canyons.

10:30 am Tour - Next Stop Upper Antelope Canyon

Guided Tour to Upper Antelope Canyon – Chief Tsosie’s guides know all the hot spots and they will guide you through an amazing natural wonder of Antelope Canyon. They will provide you with the secret knowledge of photographing the beams and dance with the sand.  We will have little chance to be alone in the canyon on this tour, nor will we be able to hear the quiet that some of the other tour-times provide, but this tour is a photographic extravaganza. We believe we have the best time starting at 10:30am for photographing the canyon. We get the early development of the light beams and stay until the beams start to lift off the canyon floor. This tour is lead with precision and experience.

10:30am (peak hour)- This is the prime sunbeam tour.  The colors are fairly uniform throughout the canyon and visibility is good.  If some of the colors are not as brilliant, be assured that at their worst, they are spectacular.  We linger at the sunbeams which pour down like heavenly messages.  We will have little chance to be alone in the canyon on this tour, nor will we be able to hear the quite that some of the other tour-times provide, but this is a visual extravaganza. Sunbeam comes in from April 1 – Sept 30.

Recommended Items to Bring: Bottled Water, Comfortable Shoes, Smiling Faces!
Photo Tips: For best results use low film speeds and turn off camera flash * If using a handheld camera, use fast film speed * When taking a picture in the canyon turn off the camera flash.
Don’t Forget: Extra Film * Extra Batteries * Other Camera Lenses * Cable Release.
Special Rules: No Tripods, Monopods, Selfie-Sticks or Backpacks are allowed on this tour. No Exceptions.

***Wheelchairs are not accessible on this tour.

1:00pm (peak hour)- The colors are very similar to the late morning tour, but the north end is slowly becoming the brightest, most colorful end.  Some of the people are beginning to thin out, which allows you a more personal experience.  A marvelous blend of color, shape and majesty will strike you on this tour!
